The technical build was perfect, but I had underestimated the importance of change management and user training. I took full responsibility, explaining that I had focused too much on the 'what' (the tool) and not enough on the 'who' (the users). I presented a 'Remediation Plan' that included on-site training workshops and the creation of a 'Super-User' network. We relaunched, and adoption climbed to 85% within two months. My biggest takeaway was that in consulting, the most sophisticated solution is worthless if the client's people don't use it.
