During a major project at Polarr, we were tasked with developing a new feature for our photo editing software that was highly anticipated by both the team and our users. I was responsible for coordinating the efforts of our engineering and design teams, ensuring that the timelines were met, and that both teams were aligned on the project goals.

However, as the project progressed, I became overly focused on meeting the launch deadline and overlooked the importance of regular communication between the teams. I assumed that both teams were on the same page and didn’t sufficiently facilitate cross-functional meetings.
