Job Description

VATIK is a results-driven marketing and web agency based in Norfolk, VA. We build high-converting websites for service-based businesses, primarily contractors and local service companies.
We are not looking for a hobbyist.
We are looking for a serious web designer who understands conversion, structure, and user behavior. If your portfolio is mostly SaaS dashboards, crypto projects, or e-commerce stores, this is not the role for you.
Our first objective: a full redesign of our own site.

*What You’ll Do*
* Design responsive, conversion-focused websites and landing pages
* Create clean, strategic mockups and prototypes in Figma before build
* Own design direction without needing constant input
* Implement or update sites using builders like Elementor, Webflow, or similar
* Align UX with SEO and marketing strategy
* Occasionally create supporting assets (icons, banners, pop-ups)
*What We’re Looking For*
* Strong portfolio of service-based website projects (contractors, construction, law, medical, local services)
* Proficiency in Figma
* Deep understanding of mobile-first UX and user flow
* Clear grasp of basic SEO structure (hierarchy, internal linking, layout for search intent)
* Ability to perform independently at a high level
*Bonus*
* Familiarity with CRO principles
* Experience reviewing Analytics or user behavior data
* Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
