LOCATION: Pleasanton, CA (50% onsite non-negotiable)
DURATION: 12 months
RATE RANGE: $60-$67/hr
**TOP 3 SKILLS:**
8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management and Project Management within a digital or marketing environment
Proven experience managing web projects and .com updates within an enterprise-grade CMS environment
MarTech Fluency: Familiarity with how CRM, Marketing Automation, and Analytics tools integrate with a digital platform
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a versatile Senior Technical Program Manager to drive execution across our digital and marketing technology landscape. This role requires a unique blend of high-level program management for complex MarTech initiatives and hands-on project management for our client s digital properties. You will be the executional backbone of the team, facilitating the technical programs that empower our marketing organization. This includes managing the pipeline of digital requests, overseeing technical integrations, and building the reporting infrastructure that allows the business to measure performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are a delivery-focused leader who is equally comfortable managing a six-month platform integration as you are a high-priority web update. You understand the "how" behind the "what," acting as a key partner to Marketing Technology and Engineering as well as key marketing stakeholders. You excel at creating order out of a high-volume intake pipeline and have the technical depth to ensure that data and reporting workstreams are properly architected to meet business needs.
Technical Program & Project Management
Dual-Track Delivery: Lead long-term technical programs (MarTech stack evolution and roadmap initiatives) while simultaneously managing the day-to-day project lifecycle for .com updates and digital requests.
Strategic Release Management: Orchestrate the digital execution of global R1/R2 product releases by utilizing a dual-sprint framework, aligning web deliverables with major PR announcements while optimizing resource allocation across Product Marketing and Web Production teams.
MarTech Facilitation: Partner with Marketing Technology teams to execute technical workstreams, including tool integrations, data migrations, and platform upgrades.
Operations & Reporting Facilitation
Reporting Infrastructure: Lead the programs responsible for building out our data pipelines. You will ensure that tracking, tagging, and reporting capabilities are integrated into every project so the business can successfully measure outcomes.
Workflow Optimization: Continuously refine project management methodologies to increase team velocity and reduce friction between technical and creative teams.
Schedule Synthesis: Own the master schedule, merging engineering sprints with marketing launch dates to provide a single source of truth for all digital work.
Technical Alignment & Communication
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, MarTech, UX Design, and Marketing stakeholders.
Risk & Dependency Mapping: Identify technical blockers early especially those involving cross-platform dependencies and facilitate the technical discussions needed to resolve them.
Vendor Accountability: Partner with external implementation partners and agencies, ensuring their project delivery meets our technical standards and timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience
8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management and Project Management within a digital or marketing environment.
Digital Execution: Proven experience managing web projects and .com updates within an enterprise-grade CMS environment.
Pipeline Management: Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume "queue" of projects, balancing urgent fixes with strategic program milestones.
Reporting & Data Literacy: Experience managing programs that involve data instrumentation, analytics implementation, or reporting engine integrations.
Technical Translator: Ability to facilitate complex discussions with engineers and MarTech specialists, then translate those technical realities into clear project updates for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
MarTech Fluency: Familiarity with how CRM, Marketing Automation, and Analytics tools integrate with a digital platform.
Agile & Waterfall: Ability to adapt project management styles (Scrum, Kanban, or traditional) based on the specific needs of the workstream.
Tooling Expert: Advanced proficiency in Jira and Smartsheet (or similar) to build automated status reports and pipeline visualizations.
Certification: PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification is highly valued.
BENEFITS SUMMARY: Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated. In addition to base compensation, full-time roles are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Commuter and 401K benefits with company matching.
