Job Description

*State Farm Insurance Agency *seeks an *Insurance Licensed Sales / Service Representative - Agent Team Member*, for an *in-office/in-person* role. This position is well suited for someone who is motivated by results, enjoys building customer relationships, and is interested in growing or starting a stable career in the insurance industry. You will engage with customers, educate them on insurance solutions, and help protect what matters most.

*Responsibilities:*

* Conduct confident, engaging needs based sales conversations that lead to appropriate insurance solutions
* Strong follow up on quotes and customer inquiries within same day bus day
* Track and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals
* Assist customers with payments, policy updates, and general service needs
* Ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of insurance transactions and other responsibilities.
* Proactive in problem solving
* Represent the agency at community events and support local brand growth - Ability to build a center of influence, network of contacts, to create referrals for prospective customers.
* Participate in ongoing sales and insurance training
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships in person and by phone
* Complete State Farm product training modules within required timelines
* *Possess Illinois producer licenses (property, casualty, life, and health) *

*Qualifications:*

* Current or recent State Farm Agent's office experience (preferred)
* *Insurance Licenses (Property & Casualty - Life & Health) - must possess or if unlicensed, willingness to obtain a Property & Casualty licenses with our agency’s support prior to office training, then Life & Health licenses right afterwards.*
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Positive and Coachable
* Comfortable using phone systems, email, with proven strong computer skills
* Not let rejection affect performance
* Strong work ethics
* Persuasive
* Empathetic, compassionate, and patience with customers
* Willingness and ability to travel locally to customer locations as needed, including employee meetings and sales related events; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
* Prefer candidates who are a short commute to our Chicago (north side) office

This position is with a a local Chicago State Farm Agent, not State Farm Companies. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm. Agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees
