Job Description

Responsibilities:

The RFM Equity Analyst will focus on all aspects of origination, underwriting, asset management, and investor reporting for RFM’s Opportunistic Equity strategy. This position will be based in New York and will report to senior leaders in the RFM division.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain detailed financial models in Excel to evaluate valuation, risk, and return sensitivities across various equity and structured equity opportunities.
Support deal origination, underwriting, and due diligence process for new investments, including market fundamentals analysis, rent and sales comparables, and property level proforma development.
Manage and review third party diligence reporting process (physical, environmental, insurance, etc.)
Author comprehensive investment committee memos outlining investment rationale, deal returns, and key execution risks.
Support the Asset Management team in executing property business plans to optimize asset value, including analyzing annual operating budgets, financial models, and historical performance.
Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive business plans, including annual operating plans, financial forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry comparables, submarket trends, and emerging market conditions to inform investment and asset management strategies.
Assess project exposure and risk by evaluating financial metrics, market conditions, and project-specific variables to support decision-making across various real estate portfolios.
Participate in site visits and due diligence trips to support sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring of investments across U.S. markets.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Anticipated base salary range: $90,000 - $125,000

Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required (finance, real estate, or economics focus).
Minimum of 0-1+ years of relevant experience in real estate, investment banking, or finance.
Understanding of the real estate market landscape.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills are required.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Exceptional time management and prioritization skills are also required to succeed in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with significant responsibilities and competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels are keys to success at Related.
