Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager
*Location:* San Francisco, CA (Onsite)
*Comp:* Up to $185K
Red Oak Technologies is partnering with a leader in LiDAR sensor technology to hire a *hands-on Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager* (open to strong Senior/Lead Test Engineers ready to manage).
This is a *production hardware test role — not software product development.*
MUST HAVES
* *5+ years Python experience developing hardware production test scripts* (electro-mechanical systems; not web/app/software-only development)
* Experience supporting *high-volume manufacturing environments*
* Experience working with *contract manufacturers (CMs)*
* *People management or technical team leadership experience*
* Strong debugging, data collection, and production test optimization skills
* BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
What You’ll Do
* Develop and maintain *Python-based production test software* for LiDAR sensors and sub-assemblies
* Lead and mentor a team of Test Engineers while coding daily
* Improve test coverage, reduce test time, and drive manufacturing yield
* Partner cross-functionally to support NPI and production ramp
* Support contract manufacturers (minimal travel)
This role requires someone comfortable in a *fast-paced, hardware manufacturing environment* who can lead while remaining deeply technical.
