Job Description
Job Title: Salesforce DevOps Engineer/Environment Manager
Location: Remote
Summary: The project focuses on sustaining, enhancing, and modernizing the customers' Recruiting Information Support System to support large number of recruiters worldwide. It involves maintaining the legacy Oracle-based system while supporting the development and transition to Salesforce-based CRM. You will utilize Flosum as the primary DevOps platform to automate deployments, enforce governance, ensure auditability, and accelerate release cycles while maintaining strict adherence to federal security standards. The effort addresses recruiting challenges through modern technology, data analytics, and improved system capabilities. A phased, carefully managed transition ensures uninterrupted recruiting operations while enabling long-term modernization.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Flosum for Salesforce metadata, code, and configuration deployments across multiple environments (dev, QA, staging, production) in FedRAMP Moderate Salesforce Government Cloud instances
Implement and maintain source-driven development workflows, including version control integration (Git), branching strategies, automated merges, and intelligent conflict resolution within Flosum
Ensure all deployments comply with FedRAMP Moderate controls (NIST 800-53), including change management, audit logging, separation of duties, and secure promotion processes
Automate testing, validation, and rollback procedures to minimize risk and downtime during releases
Collaborate with Salesforce developers, admins, architects, and security teams to enforce best practices for metadata management, org shape alignment, dependency handling, and environment synchronization
Monitor deployment pipelines, release health, and system performance; identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to increase velocity and reliability
Maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes, pipelines, compliance artifacts, and runbooks to support audits and continuous monitoring requirements
Support incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation for deployment-related issues in production environments
Stay current with Flosum features, Salesforce release updates, FedRAMP guidance, and emerging Salesforce DevOps tools/best practices
Requirements:
Salesforce Developer Certification (e.g., Platform Developer I or II) – required
CompTIA Security+ Certification – required
4+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, administration, or DevOps
2+ years of experience implementing and managing Salesforce DevOps processes, preferably in regulated or government environments
Proven expertise with Flosum (or comparable Salesforce-native DevOps tools like Salesforce DevOps Center) for CI/CD, version control, release management, and compliance enforcement
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, metadata types, change sets, packages, and deployment best practices
Experience working in FedRAMP Moderate environments (Salesforce Government Cloud or equivalent), including familiarity with NIST 800-53 controls, continuous monitoring, and compliance documentation
Proficiency in version control systems (Git), branching/merging strategies, and integration with DevOps platforms
Solid scripting/automation skills (e.g., Apex, Python, shell scripting, or similar for custom automation)
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Architect certifications, or DevOps-focused credentials)
Experience with other Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT) – transferable skills to Flosum highly valued
Familiarity with FedRAMP High environments, DoD SRG/IL levels, or other federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST RMF)
Knowledge of containerization, cloud infrastructure (AWS GovCloud), or infrastructure-as-code concepts applied to Salesforce
Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, UI) in Salesforce
