*General Manager - Role Summary*
The General Manager (GM) is the on-the-ground operational leader for your Prince St. Pizza location. You’ll oversee all front and back of house operations, drive financial performance, maintain brand standards, develop your team, and deliver consistently excellent guest experiences.
Your role is hands-on and people-focused: you’re the head coach, mentor, and standard-bearer for your store. You’ll model exceptional service, ensure recipe and food quality accuracy, uphold sanitation standards, and maintain a culture of accountability, development, and positivity.
*Operational Excellence*
* Our GM's oversee daily service, take-out, delivery, and catering execution.
* Uphold Prince St. Pizza standards for food quality, recipe accuracy, and timely order fulfillment.
* Ensure store cleanliness and maintain a guest-ready, compliant facility.
* Manage all cash-handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
* Maintain Department of Health and company sanitation standards with zero critical violations.
* Maintain physical condition of the restaurant through proactive maintenance and vendor management.
*Financial Performance*
* Forecast, budget, and manage store spending to meet or exceed targets.
* Maintain labor cost within 20–25% of net sales.
* Maintain Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) within 20–25%.
* Monitor P&L statements and execute strategies to improve performance.
* Audit vendor invoices for accuracy; place and track daily supply orders.
* Accurately process and manage payroll, including tip distribution and time-off approvals.
*Team Development & Leadership*
* Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members.
* Create and post weekly schedules tailored to store needs.
* Provide hands-on coaching and development to all staff members.
* Model and enforce policies, recipes, service standards, and professional conduct.
* Offer timely, professional coaching and corrective action when necessary.
* Maintain employee files and training compliance (e.g., sexual harassment training, food handler cards).
* Foster a supportive, high-performing team culture that aligns with Prince St. Pizza’s values.
*Guest Relations*
* Resolve all guest concerns and issues promptly and professionally.
* Respond to online reviews (ex. Yelp/Google/Tattle) in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
* Deliver consistently superior customer service with attentiveness and positivity.
* Act as a brand ambassador inside and outside the restaurant.
*Administration & Communication*
* Complete daily reporting and MDR’s - detailing shift performance, incidents, and key actions.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and track regular product counts.
* Communicate proactively with vendors to resolve supply, quality, or facility issues.
* Execute and manage local catering orders assigned by the Director of Catering.
* Collaborate with corporate partners on HR, Training, and Facilities matters.
*Job Requirements:*
* 5+ years of restaurant or retail management experience (_fast casual or full-service strongly preferred)._
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities.
* Self-driven, proactive thinker with high emotional intelligence.
* Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team of 15–20 employees.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Toast POS is a plus.
* Ability to maintain a professional, positive demeanor when receiving feedback and coaching.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a current Manager Food Handler’s Card preferred.
