Job Description
*Senior Product Designer (Data-Driven UX & Workflow Systems)*
*Location:* Remote
*Employment Type:* Full-Time
*About the Role*
We’re looking for a *senior-level product designer* who thrives at the intersection of *data, systems, and user experience*. This role is not about marketing pages or simple UI polish — it’s about designing how complex data models turn into intuitive, powerful tools for non-technical users.
You’ll own the experience of how users *define data, visualize workflows, and act on system state* — without ever needing to think in JSON, schemas, or backend logic.
If you love building tools where *structure, flexibility, and clarity matter*, this role is for you.
*What You’ll Own*
*Data Modeling UX*
* Design builder tools that allow non-technical users to define data models, including fields, types, relationships, validation rules, and pipeline stages
* Ensure the way users think about their business domain maps cleanly to how the system represents it
* Create interfaces that make complex data structures feel natural and intuitive
*Data-to-Interface Translation*
* Define how data models translate into forms, pipelines, dashboards, lists, tables, and comparison views
* Establish rules for how fields surface, how relationships render, and how pipeline stages become visual states
* Design role-based experiences that present the same underlying data differently for different users
*Composable Design System*
* Build and maintain a shared component library and design language
* Ensure components work across hand-configured views, drag-and-drop builders, and AI-generated interfaces
* Create scalable building blocks that support everything from simple inputs to complex multi-stage workflows
*AI Interaction Patterns*
* Design how AI agents operate within existing data models and validation rules
* Define patterns for AI-generated configurations, extracted entities, and AI-composed views
* Ensure AI-assisted UI feels cohesive, predictable, and aligned with the human-authored design system
*Pipeline & Workflow Visualization*
* Design complex, multi-stage workflows where changes to one entity affect many others
* Create clear operational views for recruiters, account managers, and compliance teams
* Balance complexity and clarity so users always know what to do next without feeling overwhelmed
*What We’re Looking For*
*Strong Data & Systems Thinking*
* Deep understanding of data modeling concepts such as entities, relationships, field types, validation rules, and hierarchical data
* Experience designing schema builders, form builders backed by data models, ER-style tools, or configuration-heavy UIs
*Data-to-UI Design Expertise*
* Proven experience designing the representation layer between structured data and user interfaces
* Ability to map data types to input controls, relationships to UI patterns, and permissions to role-based views
* This is the core skill for this role
*Design System Ownership*
* Experience building or evolving a design system used across multiple products
* Familiar with tokens, component APIs, variants, documentation, and long-term scalability
*React Component Literacy*
* Comfortable reading React component interfaces and understanding props/state
* Able to design within real technical constraints (React + TypeScript, JSON-schema driven components)
* You don’t need to write production code, but you speak the language
*Information Architecture Excellence*
* Strong ability to organize complex systems (pipelines, permissions, nested entities, field configurations)
* Preference for powerful, transparent interfaces over restrictive wizard-only flows
*Why This Role Is Different*
* You’ll design *core system behavior*, not just screens
* Your work will directly shape how users model their business, operate workflows, and interact with AI
* You’ll have true ownership over foundational UX patterns that scale across the product
Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
