QA Engineer
Reports To: Director of Software Development
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our product and engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our SaaS platform by validating new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across key workflows. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of testing best practices, can identify and document defects clearly, and is comfortable working with both manual and automated testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Validation & Release Readiness
Validate features, enhancements, and bug fixes across core SaaS workflows to confirm readiness for release.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
Defect Identification & Documentation
Identify, document, and track defects using clear and complete information, including:
Reproduction steps
Expected vs. actual results
Screenshots, logs, or other relevant artifacts
Severity and priority classifications
Work with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting of issues.
Manual & Automated Testing Execution
Execute and maintain manual testing across functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory test cycles.
Contribute to automated test execution and maintenance, ensuring test suites stay current as features evolve.
Support release validation through ongoing upkeep of both manual and automated test coverage.
Test Planning & Documentation
Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and regression checklists covering core product areas and critical customer journeys.
Ensure documentation remains accurate, organized, and aligned with evolving product requirements.
Qualifications
Experience with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to thoroughly document issues with clarity and precision
Experience with manual testing; familiarity with automated testing tools is a plus
Understanding of SaaS workflows and cloud‑based product environments
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment
Preferred Skills (Optional)
Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks
Familiarity with Jira or similar defect‑tracking systems
Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or version control systems
