[General Summary]
The Data Analyst will work to increase sales by coordinating product-related information and presentations for the sales department. The objective will be to maximize opportunities for both existing and new businesses. Close communication with the company’s HQ is required. The ability to read, write and speak Japanese fluently is preferred. The ability to take initiative, propose improvements and develop new methods without manager specific instructions is required.
[Responsibilities]
Sales / forecasts / order analysis: produce the seven-month forecast for the headquarters’ 2 of 4 automotive group and factory; to ensure thorough review of the sales forecasts and conduct gap analysis between the forecast and actual orders/sales and plan; and inform and respond to the headquarters’ automotive group and factory requests.
Support for ITAF audit: provide support to IATF audit. a. IMDS Request as required. b. PPAP/PSW request as required. c. Failure analysis request (example: 8D report) as required. d. Update documents required for audit.
Project planning support for mid and long-term plans: provide support to managers in the development of the annual sales plans, the midterm sales plans, and the long-term sales plans. Identify areas of concern and inconsistencies as they relate to the above-mentioned plans.
Master database management and analysis: register new items to the ERP (SAP / OASIS) material master and notify sales and material planning. Manage several masters (accounts, contacts, products, etc.) in CRM.
ERP (SAP / OASIS) projects: assist the sales employees in the use of SAP/OASIS by providing instructions, technical advice, and training. Coordinate with the Information Systems Department at Taiyo Yuden (U.S.A.) Inc. and at HQ for the development and upgrading of forecast systems within the SAP/OASIS ERP system. This can include items such as designing customized programs and adding functions, testing work procedures, maintaining master files and information structures, troubleshooting for ERP related issues.
CRM projects: support CRM projects as necessary. Maintain the master files and information structures.
Market research:provide department support by participating in new market research and design and assisting top management in devising marketing strategies and objectives for automotive and module fields.
Sales support duties: support sales efforts by responding to inquiries from customers, sales assistants, outside sales, customer service, and the marketing departments in an efficient manner to ensure both customer requirements and the Company’s sales goals and objectives are met.
Others: performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management
[Education and Experience]
BA degree or equivalent; 2+ years marketing, and administrative assistant experience.
[Knowledge, Skills and Abilities]
Strong communication skills. Japanese speaker is preferred.
Ability to communicate with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
Ability to work closely with senior management.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and handle multi-task assignments.
Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy are paramount.
Knowledge of and skills in computer software programs (Outlook, Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, CRM, and SharePoint).
Skills in database mining and analysis.
Skills and experience working with large amounts of data with the ability to quick sort through information and analyze critical factors.
