Job Description
*Lead With Purpose*
As the Second Shift Molding Lead, you set the tone for the entire shift. You are the go‑to person for direction, support, and confidence.
*Your leadership responsibilities include:*
* Creating a collaborative, safety‑first environment where operators feel supported and aligned with production goals.
* Ensuring team members consistently follow company procedures, work instructions, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
* Training, mentoring, and developing molding operators to increase their technical abilities, understanding of processes, and readiness for advanced responsibilities.
*Own the Production Floor*
You are the stability and control behind your shift’s success. Your work keeps production running smoothly and predictably.
Your production oversight includes:
* Continuously monitoring molding machines to ensure steady, efficient operation.
* Troubleshooting minor processing or equipment issues before they cause delays.
* Reviewing weekly production schedules and ensuring materials, labels, and resources are prepared in advance.
* Verifying all production logs are completed accurately and on time, including run sheets, scrap logs, and cycle counts.
*Champion Quality at Every Touchpoint*
Quality isn’t just inspected — it’s built into every step of the shift. You are the one who sets that standard.
Your quality responsibilities include:
* Maintaining a clean, organized, and audit‑ready environment that aligns with 5S principles.
* Ensuring all rejected parts are red‑tagged daily and delivered to the quality department for evaluation.
* Supporting internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and maintaining consistency in processes.
*Control the Flow of Materials*
Production relies on having the right materials in the right place at the right time. You keep the shift ahead of potential shortages.
Your materials responsibilities include:
* Monitoring raw material and consumable inventory levels throughout your shift.
* Communicating replenishment needs through the required material log and keeping it updated weekly.
* Ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage of all molding materials to protect product integrity.
*Be the Voice of the Shift*
Communication is clarity — and you are the source. You make sure information flows smoothly between operators and leadership.
Your communication duties include:
* Acting as the primary point of contact for the molding team, answering questions and offering technical support.
* Quickly reporting production delays, equipment challenges, or quality issues to the Sr. Production Manager.
* Keeping leadership informed through accurate documentation, clear updates, and shift‑level insights.

This role offers an hourly pay range of $25.00–$30.00, with compensation based on skills, experience, and business needs.
