NetSPI is on an exciting growth journey as we disrupt and improve the proactive security market. We are looking for individuals with a collaborative, innovative, and customer-first mindset to join our team. Learn more about our award-winning workplace culture and get to know our A-Team at www.netspi.com/careers.
We’re looking for a DevOps Manager to lead a remote team of DevOps engineers responsible for the infrastructure, reliability, and operational backbone of a modern cybersecurity SaaS platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role (approximately 50/50 technical and people leadership) for someone who wants to elevate and modernize an existing DevOps practice. You will own our cloud environments, CI/CD architecture, cost optimization strategy, and infrastructure reliability standards, while building a team culture grounded in accountability, automation, and measurable outcomes. You’ll operate as a partner within engineering leadership, influencing standards and architectural decisions across the organization.
If you believe operational excellence and pragmatic technological advocacy is a strategic advantage, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
Lead, support, and grow a fully remote team DevOps team through clear expectations, coaching, and regular feedback
Remain hands-on in infrastructure design, architecture reviews, and critical problem-solving
Own AWS cloud environments across development, staging, and production needs
Define and evolve CI/CD architecture, standards, and automation strategy
Champion engineering excellence, including code quality, documentation, observability, and operational reliability
Modernize infrastructure-as-code practices and deployment workflows
Partner with corporate security to strengthen our cloud security posture and hardening
Improve developer experience by reducing friction in build, test, and deployment workflows
Foster a healthy, sustainable development culture grounded in trust, accountability, and continuous improvement
Use modern, outcome-based metrics to understand team health, delivery effectiveness, and system performance
Support agile ways of working while remaining pragmatic about what best serves the team and the product
Our general tech stack:
Languages in ecosystem: Java, Python, Go, C#, TypeScript
Infrastructure: AWS (ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS Aurora)
Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform
Observability: Datadog, AWS
Operations and Incident Response: PagerDuty
Data: PostgreSQL
Platform: Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, CI/CD
Orchestration: Temporal
You’ll thrive here if you:
Lead with clarity, empathy, and confidence, even when navigating ambiguity or difficult trade-offs
Are equally comfortable leading people and debugging infrastructure
View cost optimization as an engineering discipline
See quality, documentation, and performance as part of the job, not optional extras
Communicate with candor and care, and value respectful disagreement as a path to better outcomes
Bring calm, structured, leadership during incidents
Know how to strike a balance between ambition and pragmatic execution
Enjoy learning and evolving technically, professionally, and personally
Believe diverse perspectives make teams and products stronger
Take ownership seriously and feel motivated by work that has real impact
Approach systems thinking with rigor, curiosity, and a bias toward root-cause understanding
Balance urgency with intentionality, knowing that sustainable progress beats rushed solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale software systems
2+ years of experience leading DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering teams
Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services
Deep experience with infrastructure as code (terraform or equivalent)
Experience designing and managing CI/CD systems as scale
Working proficiency in one or more languages from our stack and relational databases
Strong understanding of containerization and cloud-based architectures (Docker, AWS)
Comfort debugging complex systems and improving performance and reliability
Experience with software quality best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in a related technical field
Background in cybersecurity SaaS or regulated environments
Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and similar compliance frameworks
Experience implementing pragmatic SRE principles and transforming or modernizing a DevOps function
