Role Overview
The Technology Strategy Analyst (Early Career) supports Minth California’s Strategy & Foresight function by researching, structuring, and analyzing technology, market, and ecosystem signals across robotics, AI infrastructure, energy, and other non-automotive domains.
This is a hands-on analytical role designed for an early-career candidate with engineering background, offering direct exposure to real-world technology strategy, customer signals, and investment logic, under close guidance from senior leadership.
This is a hands-on, learning-intensive role, designed to develop strategic judgment through structured execution, under close guidance from senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology & Ecosystem Research (Primary Responsibility)
Research emerging technologies, startups, and technical trends in:
Robotics and intelligent systems
AI data center infrastructure (cooling, power, materials)
Energy systems and power electronics
Track public information such as:
Company websites, technical blogs, patents, publications, and news
Convert unstructured information into clear, structured internal briefs
Maintain internal technology & startup signal database
Typical outputs
Weekly technology / startup signal summaries
Competitive and technology comparison tables
Simple landscape or trend maps
2. Strategy & Market Analysis Support
Support senior team members in:
Strategic theme analysis
Make / Partner / Invest / Ignore classification
Prepare first-draft materialsfor:
Internal strategy decks
Investment or opportunity briefing notes
Board-level appendices (data-driven, not judgment-driven)
The analyst supports decision preparation, not final decisions.
3. Data-Driven & Technical Analysis
Apply technical skills to:
Organize and analyze technology and market data
Build simple analytical tools or scripts to automate research
Support structured evaluation of technology maturity and readiness
Relevant tools may include
Python, SQL, spreadsheets
Data visualization tools
Basic ML / NLP for trend clustering or document analysis (optional)
4. Customer & Ecosystem Interaction Support
Assist in preparation for:
Early-stage customer technical discussions
Startup or partner evaluation meetings
Capture and organize:
Meeting notes
Key technical and strategic signals
Open questions and follow-up actions
Qualifications
Required
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
Strong analytical and structured thinking ability
Ability to work with ambiguous information and produce clear outputs
Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Preferred
Experience with Python, data analysis, or automation
Interest in technology strategy, startups, or industrial innovation
High curiosity and strong learning mindset
