Job Description
Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Perception Attributes Autolabeling Pipeline team supporting data pipeline engineering and system reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Software Engineer, Perception Attributes Autolabeling Pipeline
Location: Foster City, CA (onsite in Foster City, CA | at least 3 days in office)
Pay Range: $75-$83/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
Build and operate the autolabeling pipeline to accelerate vehicle attribute classification tasks
Develop observability tools to monitor system performance, latency, and error modes
Run experiments and analyze outputs to optimize labeling workflows
Integrate the pipeline with existing systems, collaborating with data infrastructure teams
Document system architecture, create runbooks, and ensure smooth handoff at project completion
What's Needed?
3+ years of backend or data pipeline engineering experience
Proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++
Experience working with large datasets using PySpark or similar tools
Understanding of ML fundamentals including model inference, embeddings, and evaluation metrics
Experience integrating foundation models (e.g., Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic) at production scale
