Role Summary
We are seeking *entry-level to early-career Test Engineers and Senior Test Engineers* with a focus on *Power Electronics* to join the Hardware Testing team. In this role, you will work closely with a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering group to design, build, and execute validation and reliability testing for power electronics products.
This position offers hands-on exposure to hardware, firmware, and software test solutions and supports products validated against rigorous internal and automotive industry standards. Candidates with *0–5 years of relevant experience* who demonstrate curiosity, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent collaboration skills are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, instrument, and automate test equipment for *electrical, thermal, and mechanical testing*
* Collaborate with Design Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Materials Scientists, Quality, and Service teams to:
* Identify failure modes
* Develop design validation and reliability test plans
* Perform *component-level, system-level, and vehicle-level* validation and reliability testing
* Simulate real-world, accelerated, dynamic, and environmental conditions during testing
* Work alongside test technicians to achieve testing objectives
* Investigate failures at assembly and subassembly levels to improve product design and test processes
* Plan and execute experiments targeting new technologies or critical failure modes
* Interface with and simulate complex vehicular systems to validate *firmware and hardware interactions*
* Develop innovative testing approaches to enhance product quality and performance
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in *Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field*
* *0–5 years of relevant experience* in electrical or power electronics testing
* Basic working knowledge of:
* Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics circuits
* DC-DC and DC-AC converters
* High-voltage circuits
* Motor drive and control circuits
* Sensing circuits and microcontrollers
* Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment such as:
* Multimeters, DAQs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators
* Hand and power tools
* Familiarity with *object-oriented programming and scripting* (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
* Basic understanding of:
* Statics and Mechanics of Materials
* Fluids and Heat Transfer
* Measurement and Instrumentation
* Linear Circuits
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with *Python scripting and data visualization*
* Familiarity with EDA tools such as *Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, Eagle*, or equivalent
* Working knowledge of mechanical CAD tools such as *SolidWorks, CATIA*, or equivalent
* Experience with:
* Automotive systems or components
* Physical testing of electrical, thermal, or mechanical systems
* Test automation, manufacturing automation, robotics, or related hands-on projects
* Experience creating and executing *design validation plans and test methodologies*
* Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines across cross-functional teams
* Strong analytical mindset and enthusiasm for *technical problem solving*
