Job Description

Manager, Content & Communications

Who We Are
The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) is the only vendor-neutral, non-profit membership community that connects and represents the worldwide IT channel. We set our members up for success by providing trusted resources and networking opportunities. In addition, the association sets industry standards that enable companies to build sustainable, secure, and profitable businesses in an ever-changing technology landscape.

Internationally, GTIA represents tens of thousands of professionals from more than 2,000 MSPs, solution providers, vendors, distributors, and other channel companies. Formerly known as the CompTIA Community (the membership arm of CompTIA), the association was renamed GTIA in 2025. Our association has a long history of serving businesses in the IT channel and technology professionals.

Through education, training, philanthropy, and market research, GTIA promotes industry growth. We are committed to creating an environment where innovation flourishes, and the opportunities and benefits enabled by technology are available to all.

Summary
The Manager, Content & Communications plays a key role in building and scaling GTIA’s owned content and communications engine across podcasts, blogs, video, and GTIA On Location. This role helps turn editorial priorities into clear, compelling content that informs the channel, strengthens GTIA’s visibility, and supports engagement and growth goals.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting editorial operations and content execution, managing written and multimedia production, coordinating podcast and video series, supporting the development of GTIA’s News Hub, assisting with interviews and event coverage, and working with external PR agencies on logistics and execution.

The role is primarily focused on coordination, production, and delivery, with some travel required to support on-site interviewing, content capture, and live storytelling at GTIA and industry events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day editorial operations: Manage the editorial calendar and oversee content intake, prioritization, drafting, fact-checking, and approvals under tight deadlines.
• Execute GTIA’s owned content platforms: plan, produce, and publish content across written, audio, video, and social formats that support GTIA’s content and coverage goals.
• Podcast and series execution support: Coordinate guests and run of show, manage recording logistics, support publishing workflows, and collaborate with the video team as needed.
• IT channel insights and trends: Curate and synthesize meaningful stories, trends, data, and member insights from across the IT channel, and package them into clear, relevant content for GTIA platforms and social channels.
• PR and interview support: Work with contracted global PR agencies to help coordinate interview logistics, briefing materials, and follow-ups.
• Real-time event coverage: Prep storylines and talking points; support onsite interviews, quotes, and b-roll; work with the video and social teams to publish timely recaps and highlight clips tied to GTIA programs, research, events, and member stories.
• Quality and brand voice: Copyedit for clarity, style, and accuracy; ensure accessibility, permissions, credits, and alignment with GTIA tone and standards.
• Cross-team collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholder teams to coordinate inputs, surface stories, and align execution across GTIA initiatives, while working closely with the Director, Member Content & Coverage, to ensure priorities are delivered consistently.
• Workflow and vendor coordination: Manage small queues of freelancers/creators as needed; keep projects on schedule and within scope.
• Measurement and learning: Track content and channel KPIs (traffic, engagement, retention, shares, conversions), report insights, and support iteration on formats and topics.

Key Performance Metrics
Success will be measured by:
• Growth in audience reach and engagement across GTIA-owned media.
• Contribution of content to GTIA’s business goals, including:
• Increasing membership interest and conversions
• Driving attendance to GTIA events and programs
• Supporting vendor visibility and value
• Engagement with GTIA articles, podcasts, and video content.
• Consistency and timeliness of content delivery.
• Positive feedback from internal stakeholders, members, and partners.

Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience writing, interviewing, and producing content across multiple formats.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.

• Excellent journalistic instincts and editorial judgment for the IT channel; strong reporting, interviewing, and AP-style writing/editing.
