Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with architectural design patterns, platform engineering (e.g., Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, image management or repository management), container deployments, application security, or networking.
Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
Experience translating customer objectives into integrated cloud solutions across multiple domains.
Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, cloud AI, security, networking, migrations, or SAP.
Experience prospecting, building and maintaining collaborative customer relationships from scratch with engineers and engineering leadership stakeholders by earning credibility and trust.
Experience in engineering and supporting ML Infrastructure, systems, and frameworks, including performance engineering and optimization for large-scale training.
Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and pen testing.
Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Golang.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
About the job

As a Platform Customer Engineer (CE), you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will serve as the customer’s primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical-led conversations to understand their business challenges. You will troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks, engage in proofs of concepts and demos, and use your expertise to architect cross-pillar cloud solutions that solve these business challenges. You will drive the technical win and define the delivery and consumption plans. You will use your strategic acumen and presentation skills to engage with technical and business leaders, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will use your excellent technical, communication and organizational skills.

You will focus on identifying, pursuing, and winning new business workloads within existing ones as a technical generalist, spanning infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data analytics and more. You will blend business prowess, market knowledge and technical engagement to prove the value of the Google Cloud portfolio.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting business motions.
Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove the value of Google Cloud Platform across the portfolio through complex demos, pilots and workshops.
Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers. Continue to lead the technical engagement in the solution phase.
Facilitate the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, providing support to cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration or implementation phases.
