We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, sales, and merchandising, helping to create a welcoming shopping environment. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and organized. Bilingual skills are a plus, as is experience in grocery stores or retail sales. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales through upselling and providing exceptional service.
*Responsibilities*
* Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
* Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
* Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
* Upsell products to increase sales and enhance customer experience
* Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves
* Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift
* Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
* Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via other communication channels
* Supervise or assist in supervising team members when necessary
*Experience*
* Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
* Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations
* Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies
* Supervising experience is a plus but not required
* Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
* Strong communication skills and excellent customer service orientation are essential
* Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
