Azure Data Engineer

Title: Azure Data Engineer

Location: Mississippi (100% Remote)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Rate: $55-60/hr. on C2C

Eligibility: USC, GC, GC-EAD and H4-EAD, OPT-EAD

Required Experience (Minimum 5 Years)

Advanced development and orchestration of data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or similar cloud-based platforms
Pipelines, triggers, integration runtimes, parameterization
Data warehousing and analytics engineering using Azure Synapse Analytics or equivalent platforms
Dedicated and serverless SQL pools
Strong T-SQL expertise
Query optimization, indexing strategies, stored procedures, performance tuning
Implementation of ETL/ELT frameworks
Incremental loads, CDC patterns, error handling
Integration of structured and semi-structured data
CSV, JSON, XML from APIs, SFTP, and vendor systems
Source control and deployment practices
Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines

Preferred / Domain Experience

Experience with Student Information Management Systems
Background in K-12 data and reporting
Familiarity with Common Education Data Standards (CEDS)

Certifications

Azure Data Engineer Associate (Required)
