*Senior .NET Developer – Healthcare IT*
*Embergent Connect | Remote (U.S. Only)*
Embergent Connect is seeking a *Senior .NET Developer* to support and enhance _UrgentChart_, our enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. This is a fully remote position; however, *both the company and the selected candidate must reside in the United States.*
This is a hands-on engineering role within a large, production healthcare environment where your work directly supports clinical operations and patient care delivery.
Our technology stack includes:
* *.NET 8 / C#*
* *ASP.NET Core (server-rendered Razor Pages)*
* *REST API integrations (separate backend services)*
* *Progressive enhancement with jQuery*
* *Bootstrap 5 responsive UI components*
This is not a SPA/React environment. The application is server-rendered and operates within a regulated healthcare framework, requiring thoughtful, secure, and detail-oriented development.
What You’ll Do
* Design, build, and maintain features in a mature ASP.NET Core Razor Pages application
* Integrate and troubleshoot external healthcare APIs
* Navigate and extend a large enterprise codebase
* Translate feature requirements into structured development tasks (Jira)
* Assist in prioritizing and sequencing initiatives
* Collaborate with developers to deliver secure, high-quality releases
* Track milestones and communicate progress effectively
* Ensure secure handling of PHI/PII in compliance with healthcare regulations
Ideal Background
* 3+ years of ASP.NET Core experience
* Strong C# skills (.NET 6/7/8 preferred)
* Experience integrating REST APIs from server-side applications
* Healthcare IT or EHR experience strongly preferred
* HL7 and/or FHIR exposure
* Familiarity with HIPAA or regulated environments
* Experience working in structured, enterprise-grade systems
* Strong attention to detail and security awareness
