Overview
The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that
drives brand awareness, engages target audiences, and supports lead generation efforts. This role
oversees content planning, creation, optimization, and distribution across multiple channels to ensure
alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy
• Develop and manage a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Create and maintain an editorial calendar covering blogs, social media, email, website content, and
other assets.
• Conduct research to understand audience needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Content Creation & Management
• Write, edit, and produce high-quality content including blogs, articles, scripts, guides, whitepapers,
and case studies.
• Oversee writers, designers, or agency partners as needed.
• Ensure content follows brand voice, tone, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams (SEO, design, product, sales) to produce compelling
and accurate messaging.
SEO & Optimization
• Implement SEO best practices across all content to improve organic reach.
• Conduct keyword research and optimize content for both readability and search performance.
• Monitor and improve content performance metrics such as traffic, rankings, and engagement.
Content Distribution & Promotion
• Plan and execute content distribution through email, social media, paid channels, and partnerships.
• Repurpose existing content into new formats (videos, infographics, social posts).
• Coordinate with the executive team on amplification strategies.
Analytics & Reporting
• Measure content performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.).
• Provide regular reports outlining KPIs, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
• Use data to refine content strategy and drive continual growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
�� 3–5+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or digital marketing.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization best practices.
• Experience managing content calendars and workflows.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, HubSpot), analytics tools, and marketing software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in B2B and multiple different industries.
• Basic design or video editing skills.
• Experience managing creative teams and external team collaboration.
• Knowledge of marketing automation tools (HubSpot, etc).
