Job Description
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a highly skilled Data and Reporting Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
The analyst will collaborate with operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective data solutions, utilizing a variety of tools and methodologies including Excel, Power BI, custom reporting tools.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using excel and Power BI
* Design and optimize database schemas to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval aligned with best practices in database design.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements through business analysis techniques and translate them into technical specifications.
* Conduct data validation, quality assurance checks, and troubleshooting to maintain the integrity of reporting outputs.
* Support the integration of disparate data sources for comprehensive analysis and reporting purposes.
* Document processes using Visio or similar tools for clarity and future reference.
* Stay current with emerging analytics trends and tools to continually improve reporting capabilities.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence development, or related roles.
* Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Looker for creating dynamic visualizations; familiarity with Looker is a plus.
* Strong SQL skills with experience in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases; knowledge of database design principles is essential.
* Solid understanding of SDLC processes and Agile project management methodologies.
* Experience working with diverse data sources such as Linked Data platforms or cloud-based systems.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into clear insights.
* Knowledge of Business Analysis practices to effectively gather requirements from stakeholders.
* Familiarity with Visio for process documentation; experience with analytics platforms like Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools is preferred.
