Overview:
Location: Albany, NY
Salary: $110,000 - $135,000
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our NYS Client on a large-scale healthcare IT initiative focused on contract amendment development and enterprise system enhancements. This role will lead requirements documentation, performance metric development, and stakeholder collaboration to support the creation of high-quality amendment documentation and cost estimates. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare systems experience and a structured, detail-oriented approach to business analysis.
Duties:
Document business and technical requirements for a Single Source Amendment (SSA) initiative
Assess existing contract components to identify improvement areas and operational pain points
Draft key performance indicators and measurable business outcomes
Conduct and support requirements definition meetings with stakeholders
Develop bidder questions aligned to defined scope and requirements
Support cost estimation development activities
Develop high-quality, grammatically correct SSA documentation content
Assist with meeting coordination including scheduling, agenda development, and meeting minutes
Support definition of high-level business requirements for system enhancements
Address stakeholder comments and feedback to finalize draft deliverables
Mandatory Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with large-scale healthcare solutions
3+ years of experience in general IT systems and formal IT training/education
3+ years of experience working on enterprise systems or enterprise-level projects
3+ years of experience documenting business and technical requirements
3+ years of experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and requirements sessions
Desirable Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management, ITIL, or similar
Certifications and/or experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PDCA cycles, or Kanban
Experience developing cost estimates for IT initiatives
Experience drafting performance metrics and service level agreements
Prior experience supporting healthcare contract amendments or similar large-scale government initiatives
