Job Description
SUMMARY
The Software Developer II designs, develops, and maintains software applications or systems. W ork s closely with clients, users, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and then translate s them into functional software solutions a s defined in the contract .

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property .
Must possess appropriate level of certifications for this position as required by the contract.
Experience with configuration management including implementing new system s , network s , and/or application of security requirements preferred.
Knows com monly used languages, development tools and frameworks, such as Python, Qlik, PHP, Go, .Net , C++, C, VB, Delphi, and others.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential D uties and responsibilities include the following . Other duties may be assigned.
Applies proficient knowledge on multiple complex work assignments that may require innovation in determining how to accomplish the tasks. This includes helping with developing the methodology , troubl e shooting, offering solutions to problems, and contributing to the deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. T ests and maintains software.
P rovides assistance for more senior positions and performs functional duties under minimal supervision in analyzing , updating , or designing s oftware applications and database functionalit ies using local knowledge of management systems. Assists in performing system and software backups and updates. I mplement s and utilize s software testing frameworks when appropriate . P rovide s documentation to support analysis, design, and development activities.
I mplement s measures to protect sensitive data and prevent vulnerabilities or breaches. Monitors system security, updat es and install s security patches and software as necessary . Responds to periodic system security assessments.
Stays up-to-date with the latest technologies, programming languages, frameworks, and best practices in software development. Continuously improves skills through self-learning or professional development opportunities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields and two to four (2-4) years of experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Two (2) years experience with teamwork and interpersonal communication, including interaction with team members, users/customers with varying levels of expertise , and management personnel preferred.

The estimated pay range for this role is $85K to $150K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
