Role Overview
The VC Investment Analyst supports venture capital investment teams by evaluating new investment opportunities, conducting market and company analysis, supporting diligence, and assisting with portfolio monitoring. Key Responsibilities
Source and screen potential investment opportunities across early-stage and growth-stage companies
Conduct introductory founder calls and prepare investment summaries
Support investment due diligence, including:
Market sizing and competitive landscape analysis
Business model evaluation and unit economics
Product, technology, and traction assessment
Financial review and assumption analysis
Build and maintain financial models for early-stage and growth companies
Assist in preparing investment memos and materials for investment committee discussions
Contribute to sector research, market mapping, and investment thesis development
Track portfolio company KPIs and assist with performance monitoring and reporting
Support fundraising efforts, LP updates, and internal reporting processes
Stay informed on emerging technologies, startup trends, and venture market dynamics
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, data, or another analytical discipline
Demonstrated interest in venture capital, startups, and technology-driven businesses
Prior experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, private equity, startups, product management, or relevant internships is beneficial
Strong analytical, modeling, and research skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
High intellectual curiosity and comfort engaging with founders and investors
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
