The Technology Venture Analyst supports venture capital investment teams by evaluating technology-driven startups across software, data, AI, fintech, digital platforms, and emerging technology sectors. Key Responsibilities
Source and screen technology-focused startup investment opportunities
Conduct introductory discussions with founders and technical leadership teams
Support due diligence efforts, including:
Product functionality, roadmap, and technical architecture review
Technology differentiation, defensibility, and scalability assessment
Market size, adoption drivers, and competitive landscape analysis
Business model, pricing strategy, and early traction evaluation
Financial review and assumption analysis
Build and maintain financial and operating models for early-stage technology companies
Assist with preparation of investment memos and materials for investment committee review
Contribute to technology landscape research, market maps, and investment thesis development
Track portfolio company KPIs and assist with performance monitoring
Support fundraising materials, LP communications, and internal reporting processes
Stay current on emerging technologies, platforms, and innovation trends
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, finance, economics, business, data, or another analytical or technical discipline
Strong interest in technology, software products, and venture investing
Prior experience in startups, venture capital, product management, consulting, investment banking, or relevant internships is a plus
Ability to understand and evaluate technical concepts without requiring deep engineering expertise
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
