Job Description
We’re looking for an E-Commerce Marketing Manager who can own our marketing engine end-to-end — from strategy to execution — across our website, email, social media, and in-store promotions.
This position blends strategy and hands-on execution and can be a remote position. You will help determine what our marketing should do — and then personally execute the work across:
Creating marketing collateral
Shopify (site updates, products, collections)
Klaviyo (email campaigns & flows)
Social media content & scheduling
Meta ads
In-store marketing coordination
AI-assisted content & workflow automation
You will collaborate closely with:
The owner (planning, strategy, campaign reviews)
Store managers (retail marketing opportunities)
The internal team (content needs, promotions, product launches)
This role is perfect for someone who wants to own the entire marketing engine.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. SHOPIFY MANAGEMENT
Upload products, variants, and images
Update collections, homepage banners, and promos
Improve on-site conversion through better UX and visuals
Write or refine product descriptions using AI
2. EMAIL MARKETING (KLAVIYO)
Build, schedule, and optimize weekly campaigns
Maintain and improve core flows (welcome, cart, post-purchase, VIP)
Segment lists and improve deliverability and performance
Create on-brand email graphics and copy
3. SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION
Plan and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, and later TikTok
Design graphics, carousels, story content, and reels
Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar
Edit simple photos and videos
4. DESIGN & CREATIVE EXECUTION
Use Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva for:
Social posts
Email graphics
Website visuals
Simple promo materials
Light product/lifestyle photo editing
5. META ADS
Build and manage basic Facebook/Instagram campaigns
Coordinate ads with email + social + onsite promotions
Track KPI performance and report results
6. AI-DRIVEN WORKFLOW
Use ChatGPT for ideation, writing, and planning
Use image AI tools (Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly, etc.) for graphics
Build efficient workflows using AI to speed up output
7. COLLABORATION & RETAIL INTEGRATION
Meet with the owner weekly to discuss marketing direction
Meet with store managers to identify regional marketing opportunities
Gather content from staff & stores for campaigns
Support in-store events, product pushes, and promotional needs
8. OCCASIONAL TRAVEL
Travel (company-paid) may be required for:
Store visits
Team meetings
Brand immersion
Content gathering
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on
Strong written and spoken communication skills
2+ years with Shopify
1+ year with Klaviyo or similar platform
Strong design skills in Photoshop
Working Illustrator & Canva proficiency
Experience managing social media for a brand
Ability to create photos, graphics, and short videos
Familiarity with Meta Ads
Strong AI usage (ChatGPT + image AI)
Organized, reliable, proactive communicator
Fast learner with an energetic, positive, can-do attitude
BONUS SKILLS

Apparel or lifestyle brand experience
Knowledge of patriotic/military/outdoor audiences
SMS marketing
Light HTML/CSS
Photography
Experience directing or producing content shoots
COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
Compensation will be DOE
Part-time to start (15–25 hours/week; flexible)
Path to full-time based on needs.
