JOB SUMMARY

The Cloud Engineer will be primarily engaged in designing and implementing Cloud

Located IT solutions based on best practices and customer needs. The Engineer will be required to design, install and configure cloud and hybrid environments to effectively

integrate the customer on premises network with the customer’s cloud environment including servers, storage, and other networking devices. The Engineer will document,

demonstrate and transfer knowledge regarding the setup and operation of each individual solution being delivered directly with the customer for future support needs. The Engineer

will provide the customer with written documentation including configurations, procedures, and diagrams of the solution based on best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design, configure, test, and deploy cloud & hybrid network solutions.
Design, configure, test, deploy, and monitor Identity Management & MFA solutions
Provide SME training and mentorship to peers as needed or requested.
Troubleshoot networking issues, routing, speed and QoS issues.
Keep current with and provide input / evaluation on new technology.
Configure and support Entra/AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other common technologies as they relate to customer needs.
Resolve escalated issues/assigned tasks from NOC level 2 technicians.
Create, maintain, review, & update technical documentation of cloud solutions
Delivery of network assessments and other consulting engagements as needed.
Perform customer onsite visits to troubleshoot/repair networking equipment.
Ability to build Cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to Azure VM’s,

Azure VPN’s, Entra ID & Microsoft Intune.

Define and implement Role Based Access Control policies
OTHER DUTIES
Participates in projects.
Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or

requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or 5+ years’ experience in related field.
A+, Security+ and Network+ are required.
Checkpoint CCSA, MCSE, AZ104 and AZ700 certifications are highly preferred.
Cisco certifications including CCNA, CCNE, CCDA are a plus.
Palo Alto certification including PCNSA required, PSNSE preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience with advanced cloud technology is required.
Experience with networking including IP Addressing/Subnetting, VLANS, Port

Aggregation, DNS, DHCP, RDP, LDAP, Palo Alto and Cisco is required.

Experience with MFA, SSO, and federated identity technology desired.
Experience with SonicWall, Palo Alto, UniFi networking equipment desired.
Experience with Cisco, Meraki, or HP networking equipment desired.
Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware & HyperV desired.
Ability to support and troubleshoot serverbased software issues with Microsoft

Windows Server 2016 and up, Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Entra ID,

Microsoft 365, Microsoft PowerShell, major anti-virus solutions, and enterprise class backup solutions.

Experience with Microsoft HyperV, VMWare ESXi, and/or Proxmox desired.
Some knowledge of Linux server environments.
Knowledge in troubleshooting and resolving escalated enduser identity and

MFA issues.

Ability to travel the Northeastern US as needed.
