The Role:

We are looking for a Manager for our Product Assembly adhesives product portfolio with a rich background in adhesive chemistry, industrial adhesives used, and understanding of applications and end-use requirements.

This role be responsible for developing and executing a segment product strategy combined with a tactical work plan to support the overall divisional go-to-market approach.

The primary objectives for this role are to drive demand for APPLIED and support share growth in targeted sub‑segments by strengthening our product offerings. The role builds market expertise by continually assessing customer needs, industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies through focused research and analysis.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Sales, Adhesive Operations, Finance, Business Development, and Marketing to determine the critical activities and actions needed to win new business and grow share via an optimized and fully functional product portfolio in targeted sub-segments.

The Adhesives Product Manager will build, assess, and manage an active product portfolio platform to support high-quality leads & opportunities, positioning APPLIED to drive profitable growth via product technology. This individual will support pricing and margins for new products in assigned segments.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic, high‑performing team leading transformative efforts to accelerate market share growth.

This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing at APPLIED Adhesives.

This is a remote role, but you must currently live in the U.S. to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a product portfolio strategy aligned with our Market Segmentation strategy with all key departments at APPLIED to support all Sales channels.
Responsible to manage and guide the organization at every step of the Product Lifecycle, from ideation to phase-out.
Work effectively across the APPLIED organization and partner with the appropriate team members to drive competitive growth via a product portfolio in target segments.
Partner with Market Segment Managers, Adhesive Operations, and Key Suppliers to evolve and refine market specific product technologies, build consensus on targeted offerings to ensure delivery of high value/high growth new accounts.
Work closely with the field team to understand competitive environment to enhance the competitiveness of the portfolio, coordinate training for the field team, and product introduction to drive differentiated growth through technology.
Provide leadership and guidance to internal user groups and present critical trends and insights from customers, suppliers, and the marketplace.
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders on Private Label strategy, product positioning, and support the development of related sale materials and training.
Partner with the Vice President of Marketing to create scalable practices for prioritizing and coordinating sales and marketing efforts aligned with business and solution growth priorities.
Support and adhere to all safety procedures and complete all required safety training.
Identify and support improvement opportunities for processes in order to support company objectives and customer expectations.

Experience and Qualifications:
Associate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years in the adhesives industry required. Focused on Transportation, Industrial, Electronics, Construction, and Automotive adhesives products and markets. Strong understanding of market trends, financial data, and customer insights.
Minimum of 3 years of Key Account Management experience in an Industrial setting required.
Strong collaboration and strategic problem-solving skills required.
Experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder opportunities and long-term, multimillion-dollar sales cycles required.
Ability to influence leadership at all levels. Experience in a distributed, matrixed environment, influencing senior leaders and engaging employees outside direct reporting structures required.
Product portfolio management experience required. Highly organized with strong planning, facilitation, collaboration, and execution skills. Six-Sigma experience preferred.
Entrepreneurial acumen, effective communication at all organizational levels, relationship management. Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficient in MS Office and Windows O/S. Power BI and Salesforce CRM platform experience required.
