Position Overview:
The Immigration Business Analyst supports operational excellence through immigration file quality control, data integrity management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong foundation in business immigration processes combined with demonstrated data analysis and reporting skills.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in a fast-paced business immigration environment and is comfortable building reports, analyzing data trends, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to improve workflows and reporting accuracy.
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
Immigration File & Data Review
Review employment-based immigration case files for completeness, consistency, and compliance with internal documentation standards
Conduct structured file transition audits to ensure proper organization and data accuracy
Identify missing documentation, discrepancies, and data inconsistencies; escalate issues as appropriate
Maintain accurate case data within the firm’s immigration case management system
Reporting & Data Analysis
Build and maintain recurring operational and client-facing reports
Create Salesforce reports and dashboards to support business reviews and internal analytics
Utilize advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) to analyze case data and generate summaries
Support preparation of quarterly and annual business reviews through data compilation and analysis
Respond to internal stakeholder reporting requests and ad hoc data analysis needs
Operational Support & Process Improvement
Support document migration and data integrity initiatives, including internal audits and quality control checks
Collaborate with IT and legal teams to implement reporting enhancements and workflow improvements
Assist in developing reporting templates, dashboards, and internal tracking tools
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive client information
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced business immigration firm
Prior experience in immigration data/reporting, case management, or paralegal-level support
Experience working with immigration case management software (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix, Docketwise, or similar)
Experience building Salesforce reports and dashboards
Advanced Excel proficiency, including:
Pivot tables
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies
Strong written communication skills for preparing summaries and reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting internal audits or file transition reviews
Experience with data migration or system cleanup projects
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
Prior employment-based immigration experience (NIV and/or IV exposure preferred)
Experience independently building recurring reports from raw data sets strongly preferred.
Compensation & Work Location:
This is a remote, full-time regular position. The pay rate for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 annualized.
