Job Description
As a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases, with a strong emphasis on automation. Your work directly impacts the reliability and performance of our applications, ensuring they meet the needs of our users and adhere to industry standards. You collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects, contributing to a seamless and efficient development process.
Possessing an active DOD Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains test automation frameworks
Creates and executes comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and design specifications.
Performs API testing to validate data integrity and functionality.
Writes and executes SQL queries to validate data in databases.
Participates in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Utilizes Azure DevOps for bug tracking and test management.
Designs and implements test plans and test cases for various software applications.
Conducts performance testing and load testing to ensure system stability and scalability.
Integrates automated tests into continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
Utilizes REST Assured, TestNG, and Cucumber for API and UI test automation.
Implements Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices to create clear and understandable test specifications.
Performs data validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Executes regression testing to identify and prevent software defects.
Ensures applications meet Section 508 accessibility standards.
Participates in DevSecOps initiatives to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
Contributes to the improvement of CICD pipelines for faster and more reliable software releases.
Strong understanding of API Testing principles and tools.
Experience with SQL and database testing.
Familiarity with Agile Methodologies.
Experience using Azure DevOps for bug tracking and test management.
Knowledge of Test Planning and Test Case Design.
Experience with Performance Testing and Load Testing.
Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Jenkins.
Experience with Git version control.
Familiarity with REST Assured, TestNG, and Cucumber.
Understanding of Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
Experience with Data Validation and Regression Testing.
Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.
Understanding of DevSecOps principles.
Familiarity with CICD pipelines.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10 Years of experience in software quality assurance.
5 years of experience leading an automation team
5 years of experience in test automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
Experience with security testing tools and techniques.
Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance.
