Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Salesforce Quality Assurance Engineer/Tester to support the development and delivery Next Gen Salesforce CRM solution, a critical modernized recruiting and accessions platform for the customers. You will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of the Salesforce-based system, and contribute to delivering a reliable, compliant, and user-focused CRM experience for military recruiting operations.

This position plays a key role in maintaining high standards of software quality in a regulated federal environment, collaborating closely with developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate features, identify defects early, and support successful deployments.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans for the Next Gen Salesforce CRM solution, including functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and user acceptance testing across multiple releases and environments
Design, create, and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data based on user stories, requirements, and Salesforce configuration/customization
Perform hands-on manual and automated testing of Salesforce objects, flows, Apex code, Lightning components, integrations (e.g., MuleSoft), and custom applications within the recruiting domain
Utilize test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Copado Robotic Testing, Salesforce Test Automation, or similar) to build scalable automated regression suites and improve test coverage and efficiency
Log, track, and verify defects using established defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Salesforce Case Management, Azure DevOps, or equivalent); collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, prioritize fixes, and validate resolutions
Ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of the Salesforce solution meet contractual, operational, and end-user expectations, with particular focus on data integrity, user experience for recruiters/field personnel, compliance with DoD standards, and system reliability in a FedRAMP Moderate environment
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum framework
Conduct smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing during iterative development cycles and prior to production promotions
Support environment management, data masking/anonymization for testing, and coordination with DevOps for deployment validation
Contribute to test strategy documentation, traceability matrices, defect reports, and quality metrics to support audits, continuous monitoring, and compliance requirements.
Stay current with Salesforce platform updates (e.g., new releases, security patches), testing best practices, and evolving federal compliance guidelines

Requirements:

3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce testing methodologies, including testing custom objects, workflows, validation rules, Apex triggers/classes, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and integrations
Proven experience with test automation tools relevant to Salesforce (e.g., Provar, Selenium with Salesforce extensions, Copado, or native Salesforce testing features).
Strong familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Salesforce native tools) and Agile workflows
Experience testing in Salesforce Government Cloud or FedRAMP Moderate environments, with understanding of compliance controls (NIST 800-53), secure testing practices, and handling of sensitive data
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document findings clearly

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, or Salesforce Certified Tester (or equivalent quality-focused credentials)
Experience in military/DoD recruiting systems, CRM for accessions/personnel management, or similar high-stakes federal applications (e.g., familiarity with TF legacy processes is a plus)
Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing (e.g., OWASP principles, penetration testing basics)
Experience with MuleSoft integrations, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Flosum, Copado), and automated testing in regulated environments
Familiarity with DoD-specific compliance frameworks (e.g., RMF, FISMA) and tools for test data management
