Description
Overview:
We’re looking for an Azure DevOps Lead to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational reliability on Microsoft Azure. You’ll lead DevOps practices end-to-end: automation, IaC, security, observability, release engineering, and incident readiness. You’ll also guide engineers so we stop treating deployments like a once-a-month religious ceremony.
Responsibilities:
Lead Azure DevOps strategy and execution across environments (dev/test/stage/prod).
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions) for apps and services.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Bicep / ARM templates.
Harden cloud security: RBAC, Key Vault, managed identities, secret rotation, policy enforcement, network controls.
Enable container platforms: Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, ACR, and deployment patterns (blue-green/canary).
Own reliability and performance: monitoring, alerting, SLOs/SLAs, capacity planning, autoscaling.
Drive observability standards using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, dashboards, and tracing.
Operate incident management: on-call readiness, runbooks, postmortems, problem management, prevention.
Standardize release governance: approvals, quality gates, artifact management, versioning, rollback strategies.
Mentor and lead DevOps engineers and partner with platform/app/security teams to ship safely and faster.
Control cloud costs: tagging strategy, budgets, cost dashboards, optimization recommendations.
