Role Overview
Oil-Dri Corporation, the maker of Cat’s Pride® and Jonny Cat® litter, has enjoyed strong, consistent growth. We invented the first lightweight cat litter, Cat’s Pride® Fresh & Light® and have continued to innovate within Lightweight Clay and crystal cat litter. Our expertise in absorbent minerals has been leveraged in our rapidly growing branded and private label businesses. We are focused on developing innovative, superior quality products as well as growing our existing franchise. We are looking for a sales analyst to join our growing team and help support our Walmart and Kroger accounts.
Chicago based or local to Bentonville, AR.
• Chicago applicants: Hybrid role based out of the Chicago office. Monday - Wednesday onsite required.
• Arkansas applicants: Remote with occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as primary contact for Walmart replenishment team. Manage store-level, DC inventory positions through replenishment settings.
• Independently complete weekly replenishment report and deliver directly to Walmart.
• Support internal customer service and logistics, in Nova to trouble shoot issues and identify solutions on an ad-hoc basis.
• Maintain, develop and provide POS reporting for VP Sales. Provide category insights and opportunities through analytics and category planning.
• Collaborate with Insights Director to leverage shopper insights, assortment optimization and merchandising execution.
• Prepare ongoing Walmart and Kroger analyses to include share, growth trends, promotion effectiveness, pricing, distribution recap, and new item tracking.
• Present data in presentation form (graphic display) to communicate highlights in visually appealing manner for customers.
• Manage item characteristics and descriptions in Retail Link, Supplier One, Item 360, Walmart.com, Crisp (formerly Atlas) and internal company systems. Also manage all other new item-related programs such as packaging scorecards and third-party quality testing.
• Proactively set up and manage new item quotes for domestic and direct import in retail link/supplier one for Walmart. Support new item selling opportunities for national brands and private label, including e-halo and ProSpec applications.
• Manage store/item level data to identify consumer and geographic trends.
• Proactively dig into sales data to identify opportunities that drive sales and profitability and contribute to building strategic business plans.
• Analyze Walmart and Kroger data to develop sales forecasts for internal team and communicate key business trends and changes.
• Support and facilitate the new item set up process to ensure timely and accurate new item launches.
• Support the VP Sales with business questions and ad-hoc requests.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business discipline
• Detail-oriented with excellent project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• 2 years plus Retail Link experience.
Skills & Abilities:
• Self-driven, ability to take proactive approach to understand and support business.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to develop fact-based insights and recommendations in presentation form.
• Demonstrate leadership within area of expertise (reporting, customer systems).
• Experience with Walmart replenishment processes, Retail Link, Kroger systems and Crisp Reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborative, team player with positive attitude.
• Ability to simplify robust data into actionable recommendations, experience with IRI or Nielsen data preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, manage deadlines and deliverables.
• Strong competency in MS Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables), PowerPoint and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a good listener.
• Flexible to travel to HQ or customers (est. 10%-15%)
