District Sales Representative-Mid Atlantic
Full-Time • Exempt • In the Field • Monday–Friday
Location: Virginia
Multiquip is seeking a District Sales Representative to drive growth and expand our footprint within the power generation industry. This high‑impact role focuses on strengthening relationships with existing customers—including National Accounts and Independent partners—while developing new business opportunities across the region.
You'll serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing product expertise, sales support, and strategic guidance to position MQ Power as the preferred choice for power generation solutions. If you're a hands‑on sales professional who excels at building relationships and delivering results, this role offers a strong opportunity to make a measurable impact.
What You'll Do
Sales Growth & Territory Leadership
Promote the complete MQ Power package, including products, service, parts, technical expertise, and sales support.
Identify, develop, and pursue leads using business directories, industry publications, trade shows, websites, and other sources.
Strengthen existing customer relationships to drive increased market share within resale and rental channels.
Participate in all active customer negotiations within the assigned territory.
Support targeted marketing initiatives in partnership with Multiquip's Marketing team to re-engage dormant accounts and attract new customers.
Maintain working knowledge of competitor products and market strategies.
Customer Support, Training & Engagement
Provide product training and application guidance for customers and end users.
Demonstrate how the full MQ Power product portfolio enhances customer capabilities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts at each customer site.
Investigate and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
Sales Operations, Reporting & Administration
Prepare accurate quotes, pricing proposals, credit terms, and sales contracts.
Coordinate with production to communicate estimated delivery dates; support field stock deliveries as needed.
Prepare sales reports, maintain expense documentation, and ensure accurate entry of sales orders.
Maintain complete and accurate customer and sales information in the Multiquip/HubSpot CRM.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform additional duties as assigned to support broader business objectives.
What You Bring
Experience & Education
2–3 years of B2B sales or customer service experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong written communication skills for preparing reports and professional correspondence.
Confident verbal communication skills with the ability to present to groups of customers or employees.
Ability to travel 60%–80%.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with computers and business software, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to analyze information and communicate effectively using digital tools.
Certificates & Licenses
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, and balance as needed.
Ability to regularly lift and move heavy equipment, occasionally exceeding 100 lbs.
Ability to work occasionally in wet/humid environments and be exposed to mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, chemicals, and outdoor conditions.
Ability to work in loud environments and follow required safety precautions.
Compensation & Benefits:
$100,000k base plus bonus
11 paid Holidays
