About the Role
Maleda Tech is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to help build engaging, high-performance mobile experiences used by millions of people worldwide. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, scalable Android features that support complex user workflows across mobile platforms.
You'll work on modern Android technologies and contribute to the full product lifecycle - from design and development to performance optimization and feature measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build Android features that support user onboarding, configuration, and content management experiences
Develop high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, and modern Android frameworks
Maintain performance, reliability, and scalability across mobile platforms
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Backend, and Data teams to deliver impactful features
Implement polished UI experiences with strong attention to animations, transitions, and usability
Contribute to technical design documentation and best practices
Leverage modern development tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and quality
Qualifications
3+ years of professional Android development experience
Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java for Android applications
Hands-on experience shipping production Android apps (Google Play Store preferred)
Solid understanding of data structures, asynchronous programming, testing, and automation
Experience building high-quality user interfaces with attention to design detail
Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Interest in mobile innovation and emerging development tools (including AI-assisted workflows)
Key Details
Contract Start: February 23, 2026
Contract End: October 1, 2026 (with potential extension based on performance and business needs)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Location: Remote
Pay Rate Range: $60-73/hour (based on experience)
