We are currently seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement and manage cloud-based infrastructures that support health IT applications, data analytics and compliance-driven solutions. Your expertise will help leverage cloud technologies for secure, scalable and efficient operations.
Essential Functions
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud services on platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud. Azure and AWS experience preferred.
Provide technical support for cloud-based systems, including incident response, problem resolution, and performance tuning.
Monitor system reliability, performance, and availability through logs and telemetry, responding to issues as warranted.
Define, Implement, and Enforce Security standards and best practices as required to protect PHI.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment and employ DevOps practices such as CI/CD.
Participate in capacity planning and cost optimization efforts to maximize efficiency and reduce expenses.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in Cloud Computing, Platform Engineering, DevOps, & SRE.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Behavioral and Technical Competencies
Demonstrable experience with one or more Configuration Management tools such as; Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or DSC.
Innate desire to Automate routine tasks, functions, and processes using scripting languages such as bash, python, PowerShell
Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as; Terraform, Bicep, or Cloud Formation. Terraform experience preferred.
Proficiency with Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is desired.
General knowledge of and experience with networking concepts, including DNS, SSL, VPNs, proxies, load balancing, and firewalls.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.
Time and priority management to ensure deliverables are completed within the given time frame.
Displays a Growth Mindset and diligent self-reliance, asking smart questions and creative problem solving.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, database concepts and operating systems (Linux and Windows.)
Requirements:
Physical Demands
This is a sedentary role which may sit or use a computer for long periods of time. Finger dexterity is needed for keyboarding. Extended periods of time reading/viewing computer screens.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud
Professional Cloud Architect is highly desirable.
Proven track record of implementing scalable and resilient cloud solutions in production environments.
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is a plus.
