The Tollway is a user-fee system – no state or federal tax dollars are used to support maintenance and operations. Operations are funded by toll and concession revenues.

In support of this vision, The Senior Business Analyst reports to Deputy Chief of Finance or Senior Manager in Finance. The Senior Business Analyst position requires extensive financial modeling, data analysis and data driven decision making skills, ability to assess business functions and identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable steps.

Essential Job Functions

This position is expected to collaborate across teams within Finance and other departments to work with subject matter experts (SMEs) in departments. To analyze and provide independent assessment of financial impact to Finance management from ongoing and new investments in technology and new platforms such as, Tolling Back Office (TBOS), SAP modules etc. This will be accomplished by working closely with SMEs and gaining in-depth understanding of systems, processes and reports to identify issues and provide status and recommendation on regular basis on project such as:

Revenue tracking and reporting systems in Business Systems.
Work closely with SMEs in departments to stay abreast of ongoing activities and analyze financial impact of new initiatives.
Gain access to source data in Business Systems to analyze revenue by tiers/categories.
Analyze reasons for revenue trends, actions being taken to recover missed tolls and develop metrics for tracking and reporting. Summarize findings to management in Finance so that results and issues can be reviewed with business leaders to quantify impact of policy decisions on revenue trends.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Facilities, Business Systems, IT, Procurement and Operations to improve business processes and accountability for results that CFO can use for reporting quarterly financials to the Board.
Assist in the development and implementation of a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) tracking and reporting process.
Manage and enhance headcount reporting to review and analyze staffing changes and impact on budget. Also manage headcount reporting in the budgeting model.
Develop and maintain financial models to analyze financial impact from collective bargaining agreement proposals.
Develop financial models that assist management to review options on new and existing projects and assist in establishing and executing financial policy changes.
Perform duties as required and assigned to support efforts that optimize the utilization of the Tollway's fiscal resources.

M&O Budget: $470 million annually (approximate).
Capital Program: $1.0 to $1.5 billion annually (approximate)

Qualifications

Education (Required):

Minimum requirement is bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, statistics or economics.
Skills and Experience (Required):

A minimum of five to seven years of progressive financial modeling, quantitative analysis and reporting experience is required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to develop and enhance financial models to assess financial impacts
Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and experience with ERP systems such as, SAP is required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and analytical skills are necessary in the performance of duties.
This position requires the ability to work independently with details and summarize findings for senior management’s review and decision making and actions.
Education (Preferred):

Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, statistics or economics is preferred
