*Job Summary*
Health WorkForce New York, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, seeks an experienced operations professional to oversee governance, HR administration, compliance, and organizational operations. This position collaborates with executive leadership and supports HWNY and three affiliated nonprofits to ensure operational proficiency, regulatory compliance, and a strong organizational infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in nonprofit operations, HR administration, board governance, and compliance. The candidate should be professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while supporting executive leadership.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Board Governance and Nonprofit Compliance for HWNY and Affiliated Nonprofits*
* Coordinate Board of Directors and committee meetings, including scheduling, agendas, and board packet preparation.
* Track board member terms, officer roles, and committee assignments.
* Maintain corporate governance records, resolutions, and official documentation.
* Ensure compliance with organizational bylaws, governance policies, and nonprofit regulatory requirements.
* Support governance and operational coordination across three affiliated nonprofit organizations.
*Human Resources and Payroll Administration*
* Manage employee lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
* Coordinate payroll administration and ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Maintain HR records and employee documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
* Support HR compliance, employment law requirements, and internal HR policies.
*Operations and Administrative Management*
* Oversee daily operations and administrative functions.
* Track compliance deadlines, including regulatory filings, organizational reporting, and internal requirements.
* Develop, implement, and refine operational procedures and internal systems.
* Provide operational and administrative support to executive leadership.
* Support organizational infrastructure, compliance, and operational functionality.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
*Grant Writing and Funding Development*
* Research grant opportunities and funding sources.
* Assist with grant writing, grant administration, and reporting requirements.
* Track grant compliance, deadlines, and deliverables.
* Support funding development and sustainability initiatives.
*Required Qualifications*
* Minimum of three years’ experience in nonprofit operations, HR administration, compliance, or operations management.
* Experience supporting the Board of Directors of a nonprofit organization.
* Strong organizational, administrative, and operational management skills.
* Experience with payroll coordination and HR processes.
* Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, or related field.
* Experience working in a nonprofit organization.
* Experience with grant writing, grant administration, or funding development.
* Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, or nonprofit operational systems.
