Job Description

Overview:

We're looking for a Growth Lead Analyst who's equal parts analytical powerhouse and strategic thinker. You’ll own complex initiatives end-to-end, working closely with cross-functional partners and senior leaders.

This is an individual contributor role with serious influence. You'll have direct access to senior leadership, a seat at the table for strategic decisions, and the autonomy to pursue ideas that matter. You'll operate in a fast-moving landscape alongside Amazon, Audible, and Spotify—leveraging generative AI and emerging technologies to find opportunities others miss.

If you love solving messy problems, thrive on variety, and want your work to have tangible business impact—this is the role.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis & Business Impact
Turn data into decisions: deliver insights and recommendations that shape how leadership thinks about growth
Spot opportunities others miss—whether that's untapped revenue streams, efficiency gains, or market expansion plays
Stay ahead of the curve on AI and generative AI—identifying where tools like LLMs, automation, or forecasting models can meaningfully improve growth decisions.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Work across editorial, marketing, sales, and leadership to define what success looks like—and measure it
Build frameworks that make sense of performance across platforms and divisions, each with its own dynamics
Hands-On Analytical Work
Dig into large, messy datasets—sales, marketing, distribution, audience behavior—and extract what matters
Translate fuzzy business questions into concrete analytical approaches
Build dashboards and reports that people actually use—clear, actionable, no fluff
Run experiments and A/B tests to validate hypotheses before committing resources
Keep data clean, documented, and trustworthy
Qualifications:
Essential
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Business, Economics, Physics, or a related quantitative field
5+ years of hands-on analytical experience—and a track record of work that moved the needle
You think strategically: you see patterns, connect dots, and know how to zoom in and out
Fluent in the language of business—comfortable discussing financial, marketing, and pricing performance with senior stakeholders
Familiar with marketing and sales funnels, KPIs, and optimization strategies
Excel power user (advanced functions, data modeling) and strong SQL skills
Proficient in Power BI for visualization and reporting
Creative and resourceful—you find ways to solve problems that aren't obvious
Clear communicator who can make complex findings land with non-technical audiences
Self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do
Desirable
Python for analysis and automation
Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and prompting
Familiarity with digital marketing channels and how to measure them
Background in publishing, media, or e-commerce
Experience with pricing optimization or managing large product catalogs
We know great candidates don’t always meet every requirement. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.
Why This Role
Real influence—your work shapes strategy, not just reports on it
Autonomy to pursue ideas and see them through
Variety—no two weeks look the same across pricing, marketing, forecasting, and platform strategy
A team that moves fast and values fresh thinking
The stability of a 200-year-old company with the energy of a startup
