Department Overview

Golub Capital’s Broadly Syndicated Loan Group (BSL) curates well diversified portfolios of high quality syndicated senior secured loans. The group purchases assets in the syndicated loan market that are structured, arranged and administered by large commercial or investment banks. These arranged loans are sold broadly to institutional investors such as Golub Capital and tend to be liquid in the secondary market. Our team manages these investments primarily in a series of Collateralized Loan Obligations, Separately Managed Accounts and Opportunistic Credit Funds. The Broadly Syndicated Loan Team works closely with all Firm departments to ensure effective analysis, portfolio management and reporting.

Position Responsibilities

The BSL Treasury Senior Analyst (or Analyst) will partner internally with the BSL Team, Structured Products, Settlements, Fund Accounting, Treasury and Technology Solutions Teams on a wide variety of responsibilities.

Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Leading reconciliation and preparation of monthly / quarterly servicer reports with trustees of the various Golub Capital managed funds
Monitoring and tracking all CLO compliance related tests ensuring pre-trade compliance with all trades prior to execution
Evaluating current workflows and processes for opportunities to add efficiency
Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the existing BSL CLOs to help identify prospects for redeeming, refinancing and resetting transactions
Collaborating with Portfolio Managers, traders and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective management of the CLO portfolios
Preparing detailed analysis of CLO metrics and present findings to senior leadership
Working with BSL Portfolio Managers and business development to fulfill ad hoc investor requests and update marketing materials

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of experience at a trustee / custodial bank or a buy-side asset manager
Familiarity with CLO indentures and the broadly syndicated loan market
Advanced proficiency in Excel is a strong plus
Experience with VBA, Wall Street Office, SharePoint, Bloomberg and Everest is highly desirable
Ability to independently drive projects to completion, while also functioning optimally in a team environment
Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility around responsibilities and working hours as required
Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture

Compensation & Benefits

For Illinois Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $90,000 to $110,000 for a Senior Analyst and $75,000 to $85,000 for an Analyst. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
