*Mid-Senior Level Quality Analyst (QA)*
*Location:* New York State (Hybrid/Onsite only)
*Employment Type:* Long-Term Contract

*Job Description*
Gain America is hiring *Mid-Senior Level Quality Analysts* to support *enterprise-scale New York State and Federal government IT systems*. These roles are ideal for QA professionals with hands-on experience ensuring *software quality, compliance, and reliability* within *regulated, mission-critical environments*.
You will work closely with development, business, and infrastructure teams to validate system functionality, performance, and security across large-scale applications.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Develop and execute *test plans, test cases, and test scripts* for enterprise applications
* Perform *manual and automated testing* including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
* Validate *business requirements, technical specifications, and data integrity*
* Identify, document, and track *defects* through resolution
* Collaborate with *developers, business analysts, and project managers*
* Support *UAT, production validation, and release testing*
* Ensure compliance with *SDLC, quality, and security standards*
* Participate in *process improvement and test strategy development*
*Required Technical Qualifications*
* *8+ years of professional QA or software testing experience*
* Strong experience in *manual testing* of enterprise applications
* Experience testing *web applications, APIs, and backend systems*
* Familiarity with *test management and defect tracking tools* (JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, etc.)
* Experience working with *SQL and databases* for data validation
* Knowledge of *Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies*
* Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Prior *State or Federal government project experience*
* Experience with *test automation tools* (Selenium, Cypress, UFT, etc.)
* Knowledge of *security, compliance, or data governance standards*
* Experience testing *enterprise Java or .NET applications*
* Ability to mentor junior QA staff or lead testing efforts
*Eligibility Requirements*
* *US Citizen or Green Card Holder (mandatory)*
* *Must be Local Resident of New York*
* Open to *long-term contract roles*
* Willingness to *relocate* if required
