Job Description

The Department Operations Analyst will be a member of a fast-moving business analytics support team – responsible for driving reporting and building data visualizations. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver key, data-driven insights to business leaders across the organization. The ideal candidate will be strategic, analytical, detail-oriented, and a self-starter. They should have experience using Google Analytics 4 and data visualization software to present data as approachable, effective visual stories that will be used to drive business goals.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Create regular and ad-hoc reports to communicate data-driven insights and present findings to stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights, identify trends and anomalies, surface themes and analyze unstructured, qualitative data
Conduct structured intake sessions with business owners to uncover decision needs, define key questions, and translate them into measurable metrics and simplified visuals that non-technical users can grasp
QA and manage all deliverables provided to business leaders, designing accessible dashboards that enforce consistent standards, setting refresh schedules, and providing data dictionaries
Identify areas of opportunity for improved process and visualization enhancements. Capture end-to-end processes and author SOPs that enable quick updates to dashboards.
Partner with other analysts to develop solutions to business problems by providing dashboard wireframes.
Access and manipulate data from Google Analytics4 and relevant SaaS tools.
Other ad-hoc strategic analyses, business projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Competencies

High proficiency in data storytelling with experience working with data visualization software, primarily Tableau
Mastery of Microsoft Excel for reporting and dashboards
Knowledge and experience with Google Analytics 4 and high-level understanding of BigQuery/SQL
Solid qualitative analytical skills with the ability to derive and communicate key insights from data
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment while keeping projects on schedule
Displays demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Inquisitive, organized, and confident—with a strong sense of urgency and the communication skills to ask the questions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience: Minimum

Bachelor's Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent)
1-2 Years of Data Analytics experience

Compensation: Between $49,600 to $70,000 annually
