Overview:

The Senior Manager, Nursing Programs & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of nursing residency and professional development programs at Mercy Hospital. This role partners closely with Mercy Hospital Nursing Leadership, Education, Magnet, Quality, and Human Resources to ensure programs are aligned with hospital priorities, workforce strategy, and accreditation standards. The position focuses on program leadership, accreditation readiness, data analysis, and continuous improvement rather than direct clinical supervision.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of Mercy Hospital nursing residency programs, including ED, OR, and future residency pathways.
Ensure programs meet ANCC and other applicable accreditation or certification standards at the hospital level.
Partner with Mercy Hospital Nursing Education, Magnet, and Clinical Leadership to align programs with Magnet standards and workforce priorities.
Manage program structures, timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure consistent execution.
Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reports related to outcomes, retention, and engagement.
Analyze data and trends to support continuous improvement and program expansion.
Serve as liaison among Nursing, HR, Education, and hospital stakeholders.
Support Mercy Hospital strategic initiatives related to nursing programs and workforce development.
Prepare executive-level reports, summaries, and presentations.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in program management, strategic initiatives, workforce development, or organizational leadership.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, leadership, and related experience.
Experience supporting accreditation, compliance, quality, or regulatory initiatives (ANCC preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across clinical and non-clinical teams.
Clinical licensure not required.
Posted Salary Range: USD $95,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr. :

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
