*Job Title:*
Senior QA Tester (Manual & Automation) – Web/Mobile Applications
*Location:* Jamaica, NY (Onsite/Remote as scheduled by client – Region 3)
*Duration:* 30-Month Contract
*Start Date:* Targeted for April 1, 2026
*About the Role:*
We are seeking a Senior QA Tester to support a large-scale Web and Mobile Application Support project for a public sector client. This role involves both manual and automated testing, working closely with business and technical teams to ensure application quality, performance, and usability. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, contributing to quality strategy, and supporting application teams in a fast-paced SDLC environment.
*Responsibilities:*
* Review, solicit, and clarify business and technical requirements
* Design, write, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts
* Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across browsers, devices, and operating systems
* Log, track, and manage defects using ALM tools
* Provide regular work logs and status reports to management
* Support QA automation efforts using Selenium-based frameworks
* Develop and maintain QA documentation, including test plans and test cases
*Required Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree
* 5+ years (60+ months) of experience working in SDLC environments (Agile and Waterfall)
* 5+ years of experience reviewing and clarifying business requirements
* 5+ years of experience creating and executing manual test scripts
* 5+ years of experience managing test plans, test sets, and defect tracking in Micro Focus ALM
* 18+ months of experience with test automation using Selenium, Java/JavaScript, and TestNG
* 18+ months of experience testing web and mobile applications built on Drupal/PHP
* Experience testing integrations with third-party APIs (e.g., OverDrive, SirsiDynix Symphony or similar platforms)
* Prior experience working with public sector or library systems is a strong plus
*Nice to Have:*
* Experience testing workforce management systems (e.g., Kronos Workforce Central)
* Experience supporting large, enterprise-level application environments
* Strong documentation and communication skills
*Work Authorization:*
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. H-1B transfers may be considered if applicable.
