Summary
The Sales manager will manage all sales projects including selling and purchasing as well as marketing activities for the key accounts assigned for this position by partnering with all other NASAM functions including Business Development, QA, and Finance to ensure the success of NASAM Sales organization by meeting the Sales goals. Special projects or territories focus may be assigned. The supplier products include but are not limited to high-reliability electronic components for “space” application and parts market needs.
This is the key position in NASAM Japan with the potential opportunity of promotion to be the country leader role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Take in charge of daily sales activities of High-Reliability components/module suppliers and Japan-side customer’s related quotation, claims, shipments, purchase order, and export license applications. Report and resolve discrepancies in order fulfillment process under management guidelines
Identify and market business opportunities, evaluate large markets, build and implement programs and promotions. Based on demand, create new opportunities with thorough understanding of customers’ needs and pain points
Build marketing/business plans and proposals for customers and/or vendors, which also include but are not limited to strategic pricing negotiation, contract negotiation, new business and ongoing negotiation, and agreement formulation under management guidelines
Manage forecast, budget, market analysis, position, and product launch activities for Japan aerospace markets
Business trips / Meeting coordination; creation of Agenda/Minutes/Strategic Actions
Reporting to management:
Business travel – reason for trip and report on results
Monthly sales forecasts, annual business plan (or more frequent as necessary)
Weekly report of daily tasks
Supervisory Responsibilities
There will be no supervisory responsibilities immediately required for this position at the timing of hiring though it will be considered afterwards based on the management capability, skill set and mind of candidate.

Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Minimum 10+ years Sales and Marketing experience of electronic components or modules in Japanese market
· Space or Aerospace industry sales experience is a plus
· Japanese trading firm working experience (import/export) is a plus
· Familiarity with MIL-Spec is a plus
· Experience with customers in electronic components parts sales and/or international sales and marketing are a plus
· Electronic component engineering background is a plus
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
· Experience with ERP highly desired – Salesforce, Quantum a plus
Language Skills
Native in Japanese
Business level writing & Intermediate level speaking in English
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
Mathematical Skills
Above average
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Physical Demands
Customary physical demands for office environment.
